About Orchard Farm...

Orchard Farm is located in the quiet village of Combles in the heart of the Somme. Combles is rich in history from Roman times, through the Franco-Prussian war and of course played an essential part in the Great War where it was completely destroyed; being subsequently rebuilt in the 1920s. It lies within easy reach of several of the main sites of the First World War: Thiepval, Delville Wood, Beaumont Hamel are all close by.

The towns of Peronne (13 minutes) and Albert (18 minutes) are roughly equidistant from Combles for a wide variety of bars, restaurants and museums.

The village itself has a bakery, charcuterie, pharmacy, bank and post office and its own memorial sites with French, British and German cemeteries all within 5 minutes.
